Lib Dem MEP gives the 'thumbs up' for the return of Brassey Parade Post Office

Cllr Mary Pooley, Sharon Bowles MEP, Stephen Lloyd, Parliamentary Spokesman outside the former Midland Bank site where the new Post Office Branch is likely to be sited.
Sharon Bowles, MEP for the South East of England this week showed her support for Eastbourne councillor Mary Pooley's battle to get back a Post Office in Brassey Parade, Hampden Park.
Sharon said "I am thrilled the Post Office has listened to the voices of local people, and I congratulate Cllr Mary Pooley and Lib Dem parliamentary spokesman, Stephen Lloyd on their hard fight to retain a Post Office for local residents in Hampden Park".
Cllr Mary Pooley added: "I appreciated Sharon taking the time to visit us in Hampden Park, and to show her support to all the local residents who have been so behind the successful Lib Dem campaign to ensure a Post Office returns to Brassey Parade. I am very hopeful the consultation period will soon be over and that we can once again all enjoy the benefits of having our own local Post Office Branch. I have been told by the Post Office senior management that the most likely site is to be in the old Midland Bank on the Parade"
