Sharon has been named #32 on the Telegraph's list of Top 50 Liberal Democrats, ahead of London Mayoral candidate, Brian Paddick, and Children's Minister, Sarah Teather.
The ranking follows a busy summer of policy debates and press interviews, including appearences on Sky News and Newsnight, where Sharon debated the UK's membership to the EU with Tory Eurosceptic, John Redwood MP.
Sharon was also recently named in the Financial News' annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world.
Sharon's Telegraph caption reads:
32. (NEW) Sharon Bowles
Lib Dem MEP
Sharon Bowles chairs the Eurpean Parliament's powerful Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs, and in 2011 was ranked as the highest placed Brit in a list of the most influential figures in global financial regulation, beating both George Osborne and Mervyn King.
