What Sharon Did Last Week (26th - 30th March)

Monday

Sharon spent the morning in the Brussels office preparing work for the Mini Plenary.

At 3pm Sharon took the chair in ECON (Economic and Monetary Affairs) committee, where an exchange of views was held with the Secretary General of OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development).

Tuesday

From 9.30am-12.30pm Sharon took the chair in ECON to discuss the 2013 Budget and CRDIV (Capital Requirements Directive 4).

Sharon then had a meeting with Udo Bullmann MEP to discuss CRDIV.

At 4pm Sharon attended an ECON Committee meeting where the CCD (Consumer Credit Directive) was discussed. Then at 5pm an exchange of views was held with the Troika on Greece, which included Olli Rehn (European Commission), Jörg Asmussen (ECB) and Poul Thomsen (IMF).

Wednesday

Between 9am and 10am Sharon attended a Joint Working Group to discuss EMIR (European Markets and Infrastructure Regulation).

At 10.30am Sharon attended an ALDE Group meeting (Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe).

At 2pm Sharon met with Philip Inman from The Guardian regarding High Frequency Trading.

At 5.30pm Sharon attended a trilogue meeting on the issuance of Euro coins.

Thursday

At 9am Sharon had a meeting with Othmar Karas MEP regarding CRDIV.

Sharon then attended an EMIR press conference with Werner Langen MEP (EMIR Rapporteur).

At 3pm Sharon flew to Copenhagen to attend the EUROFI (European Financial Forum) Conference and prepared for her panel discussion at 6pm.

Friday & Saturday

Sharon spoke at the Informal ECOFIN meeting alongside the financial minsters from each EU member state.
