What Sharon Did Last Week (7th - 11th May)

Monday

Sharon took her usual morning Eurostar to Brussels.

At 2pm Sharon met with Philippe Emin, Counsellor of the French Permanent European Representation, and Maylis Coupet, Director General at the French Ministry of Finance, to discuss MiFID (Markets in Financial Instruments Directive).

From 3 - 6pm Sharon took the Chair in ECON (Economic and Monetary Affairs) Committee, where an exchange of views took place with Walter Radermacher, Director General of Eurostat.

Tuesday

Sharon spent the morning with her Parliamentary staff to discuss work in the forthcoming weeks.

At 1.50, as Chair of the ECON Committee, Sharon opened an ECON Open Coordinators' meeting with Thomas Wieser, President of the Economic and Financial Committee.

Sharon then spent the rest of the afternoon working on MiFID.

Wednesday

At 9am Sharon attended an LDEPP (Liberal Democrat European Parliamentary Party) Group meeting.

Then Sharon attended Trialogue on Omnibus II.

At 10am Sharon attended an ALDE (Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe) Group meeting.

Then at 1.30 Sharon attended a plenary debate on?

At 3.30pm Sharon met with ALDE ECON members regarding CRD4 (Credit Ratings Directive 4) and 2 pack.

From 5 - 6pm Sharon met with Carlos Montalvo, Executive Director of EIOPA (European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority).

Then at 7.30 Sharon met with Shadow Rapporteurs to discuss CRD4.

Thursday

Sharon spent the morning working on MiFID, and then attended votes at 12pm.

Friday

Sharon took a morning Eurostar back to London.
