Sharon flew to Stockholm on Sunday afternoon. At 07:00, Sharon had a breakfast meeting with Douglas Flint, Group Chairman of HSBC.
After, at 08:00, Sharon attended the International Monetary Conference; the reason for her being in Stockholm. Sharon appeared on a panel with a number of industry experts, including Paul Tucker, Deputy Governor of the Bank of England. After the conference, Sharon flew back to Brussels, arriving at 14:15.
Sharon arrived at the Parliament at 15:30.
At 15:30, Claudia Lindemann and Ben Slocock from the ECON Secretariat came to Sharon's office for a meeting on the impending Venture Capital and Entrepreneurship Funds trialogue. After, at 16:00, Sharon attended a prep meeting on the trialogue, before chairing it at 16:30.
At 09:00, Sharon chaired the fifth trialogue on Omnibus II. After, at 12:30, Sharon attended a meeting of the Liberal Democrats European Parliamentary Party (LDEPP).
At 14:30, Sharon attended an ALDE Working Group meeting on Country-by-Country Reporting.
At 15:00, Sharon chaired a trialogue on the latest installment of the Capital Requirements Directive (CRD IV).
At 17:00, Sharon attended an ALDE Group meeting on the 2 pack, among other issues. After, at 18:30, Sharon went to a Jubilee Party hosted by UKREP.
Sharon spent the morning working in her office.
At 13:15, Sharon chaired another trialogue on CRD IV. After the trialogue, at 16:30, Sharon returned to her office for a meeting with Jennifer Long from the ECON Secretariat on the following day's Mortgages Directive vote.
At 17:00, Sharon met with Ed Webber, the Liberal Democrat special adviser on EU affairs.
At 18:45, Sharon took a car to the BBC studios to do a live interview for Radio 5 Live. At 20:00, Sharon appeared live on BBC News 24. Both interviews were to discuss the recent developments in Spain and the European Commission's proposals on Crisis Management.
At 09:00, Sharon chaired a session of the European Parliament's Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee. Omnibus II and Consumer Credit were discussed, and votes took place on the Mortgages Directive.
After, at 12:30, Sharon chaired another trialogue on CRD IV until 15:00.
Sharon took a Eurostar to London at 16:00, arriving at 17:00. Upon arrival, Sharon to the ITN building for her appearance on Channel 4 News.
Sharon spent the day working from home on various legislative dossiers.
