What Sharon Did Last Week (16th - 22nd March)
Saturday & Sunday
Sharon spent the weekend participating in various media interviews to discuss the Cypriot bailout deal.
Monday
Sharon travelled to Brussels for Committee Week.
At 5.30pm Sharon attended a preparatory meeting on SSM (Single Supervisory Mechanism).
Tuesday
At 9am Sharon attended a trialogue on SSM.
Sharon then took meetings in her office with Mark Wetjen, U.S Commissioner at the Commodity and Futures Trading Commission, followed by Carol Hall from the Association of British Insurers.
In the evening Sharon attended and spoke at a dinner for the BBA (British Banking Association).
Wednesday
At 9am Sharon took the Chair in ECON (Economic and Monetary Affairs) Committee.
Then at 12.30pm Sharon attended an ALDE (Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe) ECON meeting.
At 3pm Sharon attended the Conference of Presidents.
At 4.30pm Sharon took the Chair in ECON Committee.
Then at 6pm Sharon attended a preparatory meeting on CRD IV (Capital Requirements Directive) and CRR (Capital Requirements Regulation) followed by a trialogue.
Thursday
At 8.30am Sharon met with Joren Dijsselbloem, President of the Eurogroup.
Then at 9am Sharon took the Chair in ECON Committee, where an exchange of views took place with Joren Dijsselbloem.
At 1pm Sharon met with the Chief Minister of Gibraltar Fabian Picardo and the Deputy Chief Minister Joseph Garcia.
Then at 3pm Sharon took the Eurostar back to London to attend and speak at an event for the BBA and European Parliament at St Paul's Cathedral.
Friday
Sharon spent the day participating in media interviews on the Cypriot Bailout.
