What Sharon Did Last Week (13th - 17th May)

Monday

Sharon travelled to Brussels for the start of group week.

At 1pm Sharon attended a troika meeting (Parliament, ECOFIN Council, and Commission) to discuss BRR (Bank Recovery and Resolution Directive) and MiFID (Markets in Financial Instruments Directive) and Economic governance.

Then at 4pm Sharon attended a preparatory meeting on SSM (Single Supervisory Mechanism).

Tuesday

At 9am Sharon attended a shadows meeting on PRIPs (Packaged Retail Investment Products).

At 11am Sharon attended a co-ordinators meeting with the IMF (International Monetary Fund) to discuss Cyprus.

Then at 12.30pm Sharon attended and EU-US lunchtime debate.

At 3pm Sharon attended a shadows meeting on state aid.

Then at 4.45pm Sharon attended an Inter-institutional Agreement on SSM.

At 5pm Sharon attended an ALDE (Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe) group meeting with Olli Rehn, Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs.

Wednesday

At 9am Sharon attended ALDE group meeting.

Then at 10am Sharon delivered a speech to a UCITS (Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities) symposium, Sharon's speech can be read here.

At 4pm Sharon attended a shadows meeting on EMU (Economic Monetary Union).

Thursday

At 9.30am Sharon attended a trialogue on MAR (Market Abuse Regulation).

At 11am Sharon appeared on BBC2's Daily Politics to discuss the proposed referendum on the EU.

Then Sharon took a Eurostar to London to attend a Liberal Democrat Away Day, followed by a meeting with the Liberal Democrat Manifesto Working Group.

Friday

Sharon spent the day working from her Constituency office.
