What Sharon Did Last Week (17th - 21st June)
Monday
Sharon travelled into London for conference where she gave a key note speech on banking regulation and Capital Requirements Directive.
Sharon then took an 11am Eurostar to Brussels for the start of committee week.
At 2pm Sharon attended an ALDE (Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe) ECON (Economic and Monetary Affairs) group meeting, followed by a working group meeting on the European Semester.
From 3-4pm Sharon attended a shadows meeting on the Financial Transaction Tax.
At 4pm Sharon took the chair in ECON committee where an economic dialogue and exchange of views took place with Olli Rehn, Vice President of the Commission and Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs, and László Andor, Commissioner for Employment and Social Affairs.
Tuesday
At 8am Sharon attended a working group meeting on competition.
Then at 9am Sharon took the chair in ECON committee.
At 11am Sharon attended a co-ordinators meeting.
At 2pm Sharon attended a meeting on the European Central Bank negotiations with President Martin Schulz.
Then at 3pm Sharon took the chair in ECON committee.
At 4pm Sharon attended a preparatory meeting on SSM (Single Supervisory Mechanism).
Wednesday
At 9.30 Sharon attended and gave a speech at the AFME Securitisation Conference.
Then at 12.30pm Sharon attended a lunch meeting with EPFSF (European Parliamentary Financial Services Forum) on systematic risk.
At 3.30pm Sharon participated in a panel debate for the Brussels Economic Forum.
Thursday
At 10am Sharon attended a trialogue on MAR (Market Abuse Regulation).
Then at 4pm Sharon took a Eurostar back to London.
Friday
Sharon spent the day working out of the constituency office.
