What Sharon Did Last Week (25th - 30th November)

Monday

Sharon travelled to Brussels for the start of the Parliament's committee week.

At 3pm Sharon chaired an Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) committee meeting on Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NFRD).

Tuesday

At 9am Sharon chaired an ECON meeting where an exchange of views took place with Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD and Algirdas Šemeta, Commissioner for Taxation and Customs Union, Audit and Anti-Fraud.

Then at 2.30pm Sharon attended a preparatory meeting on Market Abuse Directive (MAD).

At 3.30pm Sharon took the chair in ECON committee.

Then at 6pm Sharon attended and participated in an event for the HM Treasury on the Balance of Competences in Financial Services Review.

Wednesday

At 10am Sharon chaired a trialogue on Banking Recovery and Resolution Directive (BRRD)

Then at 1pm Sharon attended a KPMG lunch event.

Sharon then spent the rest of the afternoon working from her office.

Thursday

At 9am Sharon chaired a trialogue on MAD.

Then at 11am Sharon chaired a trialogue on Central Securities Depository Regulation.

At 3pm Sharon took the Eurostar back to London for the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) Annual Congress.

Friday and Saturday

Sharon attended and participated in the ALDE congress.
