What Sharon Did Last Week (25th - 29th June)

Monday

Sharon took a morning Eurostar to Brussels heading straight to her Parliamentary office.

At 2.30pm Sharon met with Margrethe Vestager, Danish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Economic and Interior Affairs.

Then at 3pm Sharon took the chair in ECON (Economic and Monetary Affairs) Committee where an exchange of views took place with Margrethe Vestager.

At 5.30pm Sharon attended the 5th trialogue on Venture Capital Funds and Social Entrepreneurship Funds.

Tuesday

At 8.30 Sharon attended a preparatory meeting on CRD/R IV (Capital Requirements Directive/Regulation) ahead of the trialogue at 9am.

At 10.30 worked on the Voting List for the Rule 70 report.

Then from 12-2pm Sharon met LDEPP (Liberal Democrat European Parliamentary Party) for their AGM.

At 2pm Sharon met with Heinz Zourek, the Director-General for Taxation and Customs Union at the European Commission, to discuss tax fraud.

At 2.30pm Sharon met with Xavier Rolet, Chief Executive of the London Stock Exchange to discuss MiFID/R (Markets in Financial Instruments Directive / Regulation).

At 3.35pm Sharon met with a group of visiting constituents from Brighton College.

At 4.30pm Sharon met with Edward Webber, the Liberal Democrats Special Advisor on European Affairs.

Then at 5pm Sharon met with UNESPA, a Spanish Insurance association, to discuss Solvency 2 alongside Ramon Tremosa i Balcells MEP

Wednesday

At 9am Sharon attended a meeting with the ALDE group.

At 11.00 Sharon had an Interview on Danish radio.

At 12.00 Sharon had another interview, this time with Jim Brunsden at Bloomberg.

Then at 1.30pm, as chair of the ECON Committee, Sharon met with various members of the Cypriot Presidency.

At 3.15 Sharon was interviewed by Europarl TV.

At 4pm Sharon was interviewed by the Irish Independent in her office.

Thursday

At 08.45am Sharon was interviewed on Radio 5 Live.

Sharon then chaired a trialogue on CRD IV .

At 13.30 Sharon met with Peter Skinner MEP in her office.

Friday

Sharon travelled back to her constituency then appeared on BBC 2's Daily Politics.
